You got the power! Energy citizenship and energy transition in the GRETA project experience

Organiser: GRETA Project

Friday, 22 July 2022 | 9:00h – 13:00h

Room Seminar 1

Format: Rounded table

The project GRETA (Green Energy Transition Action, G.A. 101022317), funded by the European Programme Horizon 2020 and lasting from May 2021 to October 2023, aims at understanding the conditions and barriers to the emergence of energy citizenship and at developing operative instruments to support communities in being more involved in the energy sector and in supporting the decarbonization process in their local context.

Programme:

To further explore this issue together, the workshop will be articulated in two core moments: first, keynote speakers will set the discussion framework on the topic with a multidisciplinary perspective; second, an interactive session with participants will be teased through some questions and suggestions related to energy justice and energy communities to foster the discussion.

Welcome and introduction

Prof. Danila Longo (Department of Architecture, UniBo)

Part 1 – Keynote speakers (9:00-10:30)

  • Prof. Carlo Alberto Nucci (National Representative of the EU Mission ‘Climate Neutral and Smart Cities’. Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering, UniBo)
  • Dr. Sabine Preuβ (Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI)
  • Dr. Saveria Olga Murielle Boulanger and Dr. Martina Massari (Department of Architecture, UniBo)

Part 2 – Q&A with participants (10:30 – 11:15)

Once the keynote speakers have set the knowledge framework, participants will be stimulated through an interactive online tool (Mentimeter) which will tease the participants with inputs and suggestions on the topic of energy citizenship, with an operational focus on the tools and pathways that lead to inclusive decarbonization processes; the presentation will then generate a cloud collecting questions and reflections from the audience. Keynote and moderators will discuss with participants on this base.
