LANGUAGE

Abstracts, posters or papers, and presentation slides (or any other kind of visual) must be in English. English is also the official language of the conference. Please consider that no interpreting service is foreseen.

ABSTRACTS SELECTION

The evaluation of all submitted abstracts will be anonymous.
Within the evaluation process, contributions may change their thematic dimension (session) attribution.
You will be informed on the results of the evaluation process via e-mail within three weeks from the abstract submission deadline and invited to develop your poster or presentation. Please note that a full paper submission is not mandatory to present at SSPCR 2017.

PAPER SUBMISSION, REVIEW PROCESS AND PROCEEDINGS PUBLICATION

The evaluation phase of all submitted papers will start immediately after the conference and will be anonymous. Papers that pass the review process, will be included in official SSPCR 2017 conference proceedings published by Springer and to be indexed in the SCOPUS database. The revisions’ results are communicated to authors in due time. See the SSPCR 2015 proceedings.

A selection of the higher scored papers of each thematic session will be invited to be further improved in order to enter the process of publication by peer reviewed scientific journals, as an addition to the version appearing in the Conference Proceedings of SSPCR 2017.
Furthermore, young authors (under age 35) of interesting papers will be invited to publish the revised version of their manuscript, translated in Italian, in the Laborest Scientific Journal, Open Access ISSN Online 2421-3187.

Limitations
  • Each author can submit up to three contributions
  • Among contributing authors, at least one must be registered and presenting at the conference
  • An individual cannot present someone else’s paper or poster, if their name is not listed among the authors
PRESENTERS SCHEDULE

Only presenters that have completed the registration process will be included in the programme. Due to the limited number of time slots and the charging system, we encourage everyone to register early. We regret that applicants who have registered late might not be given a time slot. Please note that the programme draft is continuously updated and therefore check the conference webpage frequently.

ORAL PRESENTERS

Oral presenters will be allotted 20 minutes to present, including the time for comments and questions: the longer the presentation, the shorter the debate that follows. If two or more co-authors present together, the allotted time still remains 20 minutes. If your presentation exceeds the maximum allowed time, the session’s chair will stop you. Computers, projectors and screens will be provided in each presentation room. Please prepare a USB Drive copy of your presentation, to be uploaded before the beginning of your session. There is no conference template for presentations.

POSTER PRESENTERS

Posters must be set up at least 15 minutes before the start of the first Conference day and taken off after the last session of the last day.
Poster materials should include the title of the presentation and the list of authors. Please include all needed illustrations- figures, tables, colour photographs, charts. The poster must be in size no less than A1 (594mm x 841mm) and no larger than A0 size (841mm x 1,189mm). Poster material should be well labelled and easy to read from a distance of one meter. No audio-visual equipment is provided for poster presentations. There is no conference template for posters. Posters are provided by authors and printed at their own cost.

VIRTUAL PRESENTERS

In our effort to be a carbon neutral event and also to assist participants unable to attend the conference because of funding problems or schedule conflicts, we will prepare a virtual panel to be shown during the event. The number of virtual presenter slots is limited to one per thematic session.
Virtual presenters that have completed the registration process will be included in the conference programme and may submit their work to the conference proceedings.
Guidelines for virtual presenters are as follows:

  • Select the ‘virtual presentation’ option on the submission application or contact the secretariat
  • After completing the registration process you will be contacted by our technical support staff with instructions
  • Prepare a 15 minute presentation. Please note that PowerPoint with an audio track is not acceptable
  • To be included in the programme you must have registered and paid by February 19, 2017
  • You will give your virtual presentation live during the thematic session according to the programme

For technical support, please send your inquiry to sspcr2017@eurac.edu.
