The laboratories of the Institute for Renewable Energy are a contact point between scientific research and private companies.

With dedicated laboratories, the institute offers test services studying heat pumps, both thermally and electrically driven, and solar photovoltaic modules, and measuring the thermal properties of passive and active solar building components. Extensive dynamic simulations are performed to enhance the product development process and virtually integrate the component in an overall system.

When:

  1. 20th July 2022 16:15 – 17:45
  2. 21st July 2022 16:15 – 17:45

terraXcube

terraXcube is Eurac Research’s Extreme climate simulation centre at the NOI Techpark in Bolzano (South Tyrol/ Italy).

Within our chambers, we can create all the environmental conditions of our planet, up to extreme values.  We combine hypobaric and altitude technology with state-of-the-art environmental simulation, aiming to investigate the effects of extreme climate conditions on humans, ecological processes and industrial products.

The climate chambers differ in size and equipment. They can accommodate people, plants and other living organisms even over more extended periods and offer space also for huge machines and products.

When:

  1. 21st July 2022 9:00 – 10:00

Minimum number of participants: 5

Maximum number of participants: 40

Please note that all participants are required to wear a mask.
