The international scientific publisher Springer has just launched the production phase of SSPCR 2019 proceedings. After careful review and despite the difficulties posed by the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the best contributions to the third edition of the Smart and Sustainable Planning for Cities and Regions (SSPCR) Conference have been selected for inclusion in two volumes of the series “Green Energy and Technology”, to be published in November 2020.
SSPCR 2019 aimed to provide orientation to delegates within the giant galaxy of smart and sustainable planning while supporting the transposition of research into practice and turning visionary approaches into ground-breaking planning policies and tools. The publication “Smart and Sustainable Planning for Cities and Regions. Results of SSPCR 2019” will provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of recent and original work in the field and expand shared knowledge among researchers, professionals, decision-makers and civil society. SSPCR Team warmly thanks all the reviewers who worked with commitment and dedication.
For the first time, some of the contents will be available in Open Access mode, with a view to spreading scientific results and contributing to the progress of research in the field of smart and sustainable planning.
The results of the past editions of the conference – each counting thousands of downloads and over 50 citations – are available on Springer website.
